Teaching Philosophy
I believe any actor can play any role when given clear, repeatable tools rooted in truthful, objective-driven action. My teaching emphasizes action, objective, and relationship, framing acting as a process of discovery rather than performance, and prioritizes classrooms built on inclusion, curiosity, rigor, and play. With an MFA in Acting from Indiana University and over ten years as a working actor in New York City, I bridge the gap between conservatory training and professional reality, designing equity-centered, flexible courses that help students from all backgrounds embrace their differences as strengths while meeting high artistic standards.
